Optimal Security Integration

Optimal security integration is a combination of art and science. Security integration requires the ability to conceive solutions that include various security systems and the knowledge to bring them all together. Going a step further, optimal security integration focuses on not only the ability to effectively combine the security systems, but also customize the solution to best satisfy the customer’s needs and requirements. There are not many companies that are experts at security integration and even fewer that understand and have the proficiency to offer optimal security integration.

Many integrated security systems are complex to manage and have hundreds of features which can easily overwhelm most end users. This is where finding a firm of security integration experts, like Orion Security Solutions, is invaluable since the art of optimal security integration can be realized. This ensures that the user is given enough controls and functionality to meet their requirements without including features they don’t need which will only confuse them. The result of an optimally designed security integration solution is a satisfied customer who is confident and capable of running the system.

The art of optimal security integration requires the integrator to be a good listener. My blog last week (found at http://www.orionsecuritysolutions.com/the-o/item/174-power-of-listening) discusses this important attribute to seek when choosing a security integrator. It is impossible to optimally design an integrated security solution without fully understanding how the customer’s facility operates and how the work flows. It is also necessary to listen to all details related to the operational variances at different times of the day, security requirements, perceived threats and vulnerabilities, location of assets of value or intellectual property, and many other important details that must be considered if the art of optimal security integration will be applied.

We look forward to seeing you here at The O next Wednesday for another exciting post.
