Sean has spent over eight years with the U.S. Department of State as a Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) Officer after graduating with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Oklahoma State University. He received advanced training in counter intelligence and anti-terror techniques, measures, and methodologies. During his employment with DSS, he led teams of similarly trained people while carrying out his responsibilities in foreign countries. His responsibilities included designing, installing, and maintaining technical security systems to protect national security information, US diplomatic personnel, and critical infrastructure, including US Embassies, Consulates, and other diplomatic facilities.
Sean has worked in nearly 40 countries on 6 different continents around the world including Thailand, Vietnam, Burma, Switzerland, Indonesia, Australia, Cambodia, Austria, Germany, Poland, Kenya, Uganda, Egypt, Brazil, Peru, and Columbia. With DSS, Sean was called upon to design and implement security protocols and systems which included video surveillance, intruder detection, access controls, locks, perimeter security, and assessments. He also played an integral role in writing the US Department of State security policies for post communications centers, controlled access areas, and building management systems in US Embassies worldwide.
Since leaving the government, Sean was instrumental in establishing one of the few companies in the US, Orion Security Solutions, that possess comprehensive security knowledge in designing, installing, and integrating “layered” security systems. The “layered” security methodology maximizes the system’s effectiveness to deter and detect threats to assets of interest and value. With an understanding of the various strengths and weaknesses of a multitude of physical and technical security systems, OSS provides a field-tested expertise that you can rely on when it comes to securing your environment.
Greg Vance received his degree from Oklahoma State University and has worked for several Fortune500 Companies, including eleven years for Armstrong World Industries, Inc. and five years for Morgan Stanley.
In 2004, Greg started working for a technology company and played a vital role in several key patent developments along with a management position. Working with advanced RFID development projects, Mr. Vance helped design, install and implement large security projects. Mr. Vance has held the position of CFO and COO at several companies before co-founding Orion Security Solutions. As an entrepreneur, Mr. Vance saw the need for security services on a level that was unavailable in the market place and has sought to surround the Orion Security Solutions team with the best talent available such as Orion Management and Aventura Technologies.
Jeremy has been associated with the security industry since the late 1990’s. Through designing, installing, and maintaining a variety of technical security, medical communication, audio, visual, and life safety systems, Jeremy has gained exceptional experience in security systems. Knowledge in video surveillance, intruder detection, perimeter detection, access control, fire alarms, nurse call, emergency notification, asset tracking, POS and inventory management systems are skills that Jeremy’s expertise have added to Orion Security Solutions. Jeremy has worked directly with many clients in schools and universities, hospitals, banks, military organizations, international airports, correctional institutions, churches, casinos, and many other facilities.
Having spent four years working on a Corp of Engineers project in Honolulu, Hawaii, Jeremy maintains the high standard of the US Army Corp of Engineers in his daily life. He continues to be a tremendous asset to Orion Security Solutions as its Senior Vice President of Operations by combining his detailed knowledge of security systems and his personal dedication to honor and integrity.
Larry brings over thirty years of professional business experience to Orion Security Solutions where he is currently the Marketing Director. His career started as an engineer with Digital Equipment Corporation. Since then, he has held positions of National Account Sales, Regional Sales Manager, Senior Marketing Manager, Director of Business Development, General Manager, Regional Vice President and Vice President of Sales with manufacturing companies including Unisys Corporation, Premisys Corporation, ADC Telecommunications Co., PCSC, AMGI and other System Integrators.
Larry has a successful track record of building customer and partner relationships, deriving effective business development methodologies, and creating go-to-market strategies with an emphasis on maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction. Larry brings these invaluable qualities and critical skills to Orion as our company continues to further expand our substantial foundation and industry footprint.
